Keep your water ionizer and filtration system running smoothly with this 500-gram pack of high-quality citric acid powder. Citric acid is a natural, non-toxic cleaner that effectively removes calcium buildup and mineral deposits, helping to extend the life and maintain the performance of your water ionizer.

Key Benefits:

  • Safely descales and cleans your ionizer without harsh chemicals

  • Essential for periodic maintenance to prevent calcium buildup

  • Easy to use with your Chanson Easy Clean Citric Acid Cartridge or cleaning kit

  • Suitable for all water ionizers and filtration systems that require descaling

  • Food-grade, environmentally friendly, and safe for home use

Usage:
Simply dissolve the recommended amount of citric acid in water and run through your ionizer’s cleaning cycle to keep it performing like new.

TO CLEAN PJ6000:

  1. Turn Off the Ionizer:

    • Power off your ionizer and disconnect it from the water supply.

  2. Insert the Cleaning Cartridge:

    • Open the filter compartment on your PJ6000.

    • Remove the standard filter and replace it with the Chanson Cleaning Cartridge filled with citric acid.

  3. Reconnect and Run Water:

    • Reconnect the ionizer to your water supply.

    • Slowly turn the water on.

    • Set the ionizer to "Purified Water" mode (not alkaline or acidic settings).

    • Let the water run through the unit for about 30 seconds to allow the citric acid solution to fill the system.

  4. Soak the Unit:

    • Turn off the water.

    • Allow the cleaning solution to sit inside the ionizer for 2 to 12 hours (overnight is ideal) to dissolve mineral buildup.

  5. Flush the System:

    • After soaking, turn the water back on.

    • Run clean, purified water through the ionizer for 5–10 minutes to flush out any remaining citric acid.

  6. Replace with Your Regular Filter:

    • Remove the cleaning cartridge.

    • Reinstall your standard water filter.

  7. Final Rinse:

    • Run the ionizer again for a few minutes to ensure the filter is properly primed and the system is clean.

Important Tips:

  • Always use food-grade anhydrous citric acid, like Chanson’s official cleaning solution, to avoid damaging the unit.

  • Clean your PJ6000 every 3 to 6 months, depending on your water hardness and usage.

Citric Acid has several uses: it breaks down mineral deposits in kettles, coffee machines, and dishwashers; cuts through soap scum, hard water stains, and rust; and improves the effectiveness of some natural disinfectants. It's super versatile because it's natural, safe, and biodegradable.
